Over the last year, I’ve seen an immense growth in all aspects of my life i.e. spiritually, physically, academically and financially. The reason is because I dedicated this year to self-development; that’s anything self-growth and the results I’ve seen are incredible.
You see it’s what you put in, you receive. If you put little or no investment in yourself, how do you expect to reap plenty? If you want to see enormous growth in your life, young people…..it starts now. Stop deceiving yourself that you have time. That’s the biggest lie that has stumbled so many. Make hay while there’s sun. Over the weekend, I was listening to Caleb Maddix. For those who haven’t heard of him, he’s 15 and the founder of his own company- Kids4success, he’s also a motivational speaker and has shared the stage with inspirational icons such as Tony Robbins, Gary Vaynerchuk, Darren Hardy and many others. I mean while listening to his interview with SUCCESS Insider, I was challenged. He’s an epitome of motivation and inspiration to so many. You can watch it here. Check out his interview with Forbes here.
So my point is… it’s never too early to start paving the way to success. I’ve mentioned this a couple of times on the blog. Hustle and grind while you’re young so you can reap success in your latter years. I’m not just saying it but I’m applying it. I’m a full time student but I take Motty Inspires seriously. Why? If I’m hoping to build it into a brand one day, I’ve got to hustle now. Work hard and enjoy the benefits later. I believe so much in this principle and it has worked for so many.
These years of your life while you have time, make full use of it. Read books, watch videos or even listen to podcasts that will help you grow to the best version of yourself. Mind you, you are the one that’s got to do the work. No one else. I’ve read “Act like Success, Think like success, by Steve Harvey, Think like a Champion by Donald Trump, Secret of the Millionaire Mind by T.Harv Eker; all of which have the central theme of you taking responsibility of your life. At the same time, live a balanced life in which you can also enjoy this period of your life, you know, Treat yourself every now and then, celebrate your achievements but also make sure your 24hrs does not go down the drain. Do the best you can and leave the rest to God.
As you begin another week, try and spend it more productively. The holidays have come and gone, for some it’s back to school, uni or even your day job. Whatever it may be, make sure you spend time developing yourself. It could be a new skill or language. Knowledge is never wasted. The Internet has unlimited resources for you to tap into. Podcasts, motivational blogs, books, workshops, what are you waiting for? If you start your day with these resources, you’ll have a well accomplished day.
So, it’s time to say goodbye to mediocrity and yes to greatness!
